In all cases please contact the event leader 48 hours before the event to confirm attendance. You attend all events at your own risk.
Please be aware that most group members are over 50 years old. Also please be aware that a few events are run by past members who are now married.
Tuesday 11th February at 7 pm - Spiritual cinema - free monthly film
Spiritual Cinema provides the opportunity see a good film, but with a spiritual twist. Selected films have messages that invite thought and discussion from a moral, philosophical, religious or spiritual angle. Screenings take place in the main hall in Churchgate House (behind St Andrews Church in Cobham, Downside Bridge Road Cobham KT11 3EJ), which is set up like a small cinema with professional equipment.

Saturday 22nd March - Battersea Park and Power Station
Meet at Battersea Park underground station at 11am, for short walk around the park which should have spring flowers out.
Situated about three kilometres south of Hyde Park Corner, Battersea Park is considered by many to be the most interesting of all the London Parks. An inner city park with so much variety, hidden secrets, and activities.
There is a cafe in the park, for lunch, or a choice of many cafes in the Power Station.
There could be an option to go up in the Chimney Lift - tickets £17 per person.

The pub can be accessed from M25/A3, this may need checking for roadworks nearer the time.
This a lovely, popular pub on the Wey Navigation canal
Sunday roasts: beef £19.75, pork, chicken, vegetarian £18.75
Additional side-dishes are available, as well as an a la carte menu, including gluten-free options
Desserts are £8.50 (a couple are offered as mini-puds with a beverage)
If the weather is good, we may go for a canal-side walk or to RHS Wisley
(RHS members can take a guest so we may be able to get free/low-cost entry)

Wednesday 30th April 7.15 pm - Live theatre for only £15!
A Bunch of Amateurs by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman Directed by Anthony Kemp - A comedy - see details.

Certainly cheaper than London prices with free parking or about 25 minutes walk from Horsley station.
Please book your own tickets here (making sure you select the right show and date, please book near row G seats 5, 6 and 7 if you want to sit with those already booked) and let Luke (luke@surreychristiansingles.org) know you are coming.
We will aim to meet in the foyer between 7 pm and 7.15 pm to buy a drink and go into the show at 7.30 pm. Several members have said they will book.

Friday 16th May at 11 am - Wisley gardens, Woking, Surrey. GU23 6QB.
The aim would be to meet outside the main entrance at 11 am, then walk round the gardens for about 2 hours, with a break for lunch. You are of course free to stay until the gardens close.
Wisley gardens has several places to buy drinks and food, but if you want to save money and time queuing, please bring a flask and or a packed lunch.
Please be aware that ticket prices are £18.50 and can be purchased on the day. However, RHS members can take in one guest free, and it is hoped a few RHS members will come and enable a few people to get in free. Please contact Luke as below to see if this is possible on a first come basis.

Thursday 12th June 11am – day trip to Chartwell NT
This is the home of Winston Churchill and contains a fascinating exhibition about his life as well as being an interesting house and lovely gardens overlooking the Weald of Kent.
We will meet at 11am at the main entrance and book entry tickets for the house. We can then have a picnic lunch (bring your own sandwiches etc) in the gardens subject to entrance times on the day.
Entry is currently up to £24.20. Some of our members have membership of the NT and might be able to take you in on their ticket. You can also get tickets in the newspapers for free entry to some NT properties. This is a lovely pub on the river but it gets busy, hence the earlier start. Note also that it is a Saturday. We may go for a walk along to the lock afterwards.

Loseley Park, Guildford, Surrey GU3 1HS
Come and visit Loseley park, to include a Tudor mansion and gardens located outside Guildford, the home of Loseley ice cream.
Meet 11am at the entrance. Bring picnic lunch. Stunning gardens and Parkland. Entrance £11.50 for gardens or combined house and garden ticket £20. Barn cafe has delicious cakes for tea for those able to stay.
Buses from Guildford bus station ( numbers 42, 70, 71 and 72) or plenty of parking. Leave time to walk from car park to the entrance.

Sunday 14th September - Meal at riverside Lebanese restaurant in Kingston
Meet at 1.30 pm at the Comptoir riverside restaurant in Kingston, 2A Riverside Walk, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1QN.
Kingston is well served by buses and trains. However parking is expensive if you come by car. It should be possible to find free parking in Mill Street and Avenue road, close to Kingston Methodist Church, about a 12 minute walk from the restaurant. The restaurant is very near to the bridge over the river Thames.
Meals are from about £14 for wraps, and from about £15 for tagines - see menu.
After the meal it is hoped to walk along the river.

Christmas meal at the Toby Carvery, 45 Cheam Rd, Ewell, Epsom KT17 1QZ.
Our Christmas meals are always fun and a great opportunity to start your Christmas Celebrations in convivial company with good and plentiful food for a very reasonable price.
The Toby Carvery is a lovely cosy pub on the main A320 Epsom to Cheam Road. There is plenty of free on site parking and it’s opposite East Ewell Station for those who prefer to come by train. The S2 Sutton to Epsom Bus stops outside, so the venue is very accessible.
On Trip Advisor the food is described as 'Always value for money, with generous meat carved for you, Yorkshire pudding and lots of vegetables and roast potatoes which you can help yourself to'.
